The chairman of "Georgian Dream" claims that they have never made anti-Western statements. According to Kobakhidze, "Dream" has "pro-Georgian and pro-Western" rhetoric and they follow this line.
"We have never had any anti-Western statements. We have never made any anti-Western statements. We sometimes had to, of course, make assessments regarding their non-objective statements, but this is certainly not anti-Western rhetoric. Our rhetoric is pro-Georgian, pro-Western, and we always follow it. this line," said Kobakhidze.
The chairman of the ruling team also spoke about the status of the candidate and said that the status belongs to both the people and the government.
"As for the 12 points, we have clearly fulfilled them, this process will be completed by the end of this month, and, of course, we deserve the status of a candidate. We deserved it last year, in June, and we deserve it this year. This status is deserved by the people as well as by the government that these people elected. We have legitimacy from the people, and this legitimacy is confirmed, among other things, by updated sociological survey data," Kobakhidze says.
As a reminder, today and tomorrow, the European Commission will present a report to the EU ambassadors and ministers of European affairs on Georgia's implementation of 12 priorities. Meetings will be held in Brussels and Stockholm.
