The Minister of Culture, Tea Tsulukiani, assesses the pardoning of the founder of the "Mtavari Channel", Nika Gvaramia, as an obstruction to the execution of the criminal law decision. According to her, pardoning Nika Gvaramia by the President is an insult to justice.
"Gvaramia's pardon, I don't think it will lead to any type of depolarization or contribute to such a process. On the contrary, it will probably be one of the main prerequisites for further deepening of polarization. But as a former Minister of Justice, I can tell you that my perception of this decision is, I would characterize this decision as an insult to justice, and an infringement of the main foundation of the legal state, which is called the obstruction of the enforcement of an effective criminal decision," said Tsulukiani.
