We will not act according to the dictates of odious MEPs - Kobakhidze on the appeal regarding the third president

Chairman of "Georgian Dream", Irakli Kobakhidze, responds to the appeal of about 50 MEPs, who call on the authorities to transfer Mikheil Saakashvili abroad for treatment. According to Kobakhidze, the statement of the MEPs is "unserious and shameful". Kobakhidze once again repeated the propaganda narrative and said that the purpose of these statements is to bring chaos to the country and open a second front.

"The authors of this call are odious MEPs. You remember that for 600 days, Saakashvili had been dying every day, then after the Strasbourg decision, it became clear that Saakashvili decided not to die every day, but after a while he changed his decision again.

It's just not serious and shameful. What these odious MEPs are doing is not only absurd, but simply disgraceful, to say the least. There is a specific purpose behind all this - inciting polarization, bringing chaos to the country, opening of the second front. Of course, we will not allow all this, our goal is the opposite - we do not want polarization, chaos in the country,we want peace in this country, therefore, we will act, not according to the dictates of odious MEPs, but according to the dictates of our country's interests," said Kobakhidze.

A group of 44 MEPs calls on the authorities of Georgia to transfer the third president, Mikheil Saakashvili, to one of the EU countries for treatment. MEPs issued a statement in the name of the President of Georgia, the Speaker of the Parliament and the Prime Minister.
