"The document on strategic cooperation with China is another sabotage of the EU candidate's status... Georgian Dream will do everything so that we do not receive status" - the founder of Mtvari TV Nika Gvaramia writes on social media.

Nika Gvaramia reacted to the statement of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili about a strategic partnership with China.

"(a) If the government uses this for marketing packaging only as a propaganda narrative of taking the economic relationship with China to a new level, it is not worth discussing this case, because it will be evaluated as an attack on the new economic opportunities of the country and Georgian business;

(b) If this means a military-political component (and the document was still unknown yesterday) and it is real strategic cooperation, then it is a disaster.

There is indeed positive news from the economic point of view but the concept of the so-called multi-vector cooperation proposed by this document contains the gravest dangers, contradicts the foreign policy line of the European Union (with which rapprochement as a mandatory prerequisite for our European integration process) and is geopolitical blackmail of the West.
