Teacher Dismissed on Political Grounds In the Village of Dzeveri

Published:

A teacher who had been teaching social science and history at the Dzeveri village state school for 26 years was dismissed.

Tamar Bukhradze says that the decision was made for political reasons and she blames the "Georgian Dream" together with the school director for everything.

The dismissal order is unjustified. I call it unfounded because I have enough credit points as well as five credit trainings.I'm not going to stop in any way. I'll be fighting! - says Tamar Bukhradze.

In the same village, Maya Sichinawa also talks about oppression due to a different opinion. Recently she has criticized a member of the city council, who called the citizens in the streets of Minsk traitors of the nation and publicly expressed solidarity with President Alexander Lukashenko.

Tamar Buhradze and Maya Sichinawa were visited by Badri Basishvili, a member of parliament and one of the leaders of the United National Movement, who called them repressed by the Dream government and promised legal assistance. Basishvili says that the persecution of people on political grounds will end after the defeat of the Georgian Dream in the elections.
