Tbilisi City Hall to Spend GEL 2 Million on Kaladze's Personal PR in 2024

According to the 2024 budget project of Tbilisi City Hall, more than GEL 2 million will be spent on Mayor Kakha Kaladze's personal PR, and 60 people will take care of it.
Notably absent from the draft budget are significant provisions for major infrastructure projects. Bureaucratic expenses for City Hall offices are set to rise by GEL 10 million, concurrent with a GEL 16 million uptick in officials' remuneration compared to the previous year, which has drawn significant attention.
Opposition representatives say that the City Hall budget does not meet the needs of the citizens. They are negative about the increase in bureaucratic costs negatively and speak about possible signs of corruption.
