The opposition agrees that electoral unity must be retained. Opponents of the authorities continue to fight against Bidzina Ivanishvili's regime with united forces and agree to protect each other's votes at parliamentary elections.
After the meeting, the opposition mainly talked about the lack of time for political intrigues and the need to unite around one goal - to defeat Bidzina Ivanishvili's oligarchic regime.

The member of the United National Movement Tina Bokuchava said that the issue of nomination of Khatia Dekanoidze as a candidate from the United National Movement in the majority constituency of Isani was closed for them. Besides, that decision was taken by majority vote of the party secretariat.
According to Levan Tarkhnishvili, a member of the Political Council of European Georgia, it is important to unite political forces on the ground and defeat Ivanishvili with joint efforts.

Republican Party Chairperson Khatuna Samnidze says it is important to focus on the main task - removal of Bidzina Ivanishvili from power.

Giorgi Vashadze / Election subject of Tamar Charkviani could not come to an agreement with the majority of opposition parties. There are agreed (actually leader) opposition candidates in 6 constituencies of Tbilisi. In Saburtalo T. Charkviani’s candidacy made it impossible to agree on a common opposition candidate. Therefore, some of the parties to the agreement (European Georgia, Labour party, etc.) will continue to support Giorgi Vashadze in Isani, while in Saburtalo they will support Irakli Okruashvili against the candidate of the same subject - Tamar Charkviani. In such a situation, the National Movement was completely free to make a decision beneficial to itself," writes David Berdzenishvili.

Yesterday, on August 26, the United National Movement nominated Khatia Dekanoidze as a majoritarian MP candidate in Isani district. The main opposition party decided to nominate its own candidate in Isani after, according to them, Giorgi Vashadze violated the United Opposition Agreement.

Giorgi Vashadze and Tamar Charkviani separated themselves from the Power in Unity bloc and founded a new political bloc, Strategy Builder. Then he announced that he planned to fight for the post of prime minister.
