Zalkaliani responds to a cyberattack on Lugar Laboratory

The minister assures that the government, together with international partners, will do everything possible to find out who is behind the cyber attack on Lugar laboratory. According to Zalkaliani, the attack on the most important institution in the pandemic was a deliberate act, but from whom - Zalkaliani says nothing about it:

We will not shy away from naming where and who committed this illegal act. Everything will be called by its name.Do you know how important Lugar's laboratory is in the fight against pandemics? It was this critical facility that was attacked. The attack, of course, was aimed at paralyzing this institution, because one of the factors determining the success of Georgia and our government in the fight against the pandemic is the Lugar laboratory. Our law enforcement agencies are in close contact with all our partners," Zalkaliani said.

On September 3, the Interior Ministry disseminated information about a cyberattack on the computer system of the Georgian Ministry of Health yesterday,on  September 1, from a foreign country.
