Mikheil Saakashvili nominated by the United Opposition as candidate for Prime Minister

Mikheil Saakashvili was nominated by the United Opposition as a candidate for the post of the Prime Minister. Chairman of the National Movement Grigol Vashadze announced this at today's briefing.

Mikhail Saakashvili must return to Georgia and meet with his people. That's why the United National Movement and all other United Opposition parties have decided to nominate him as a candidate for the post of Georgian Prime Minister," Vashadze said.

According to the UNM chairman, Saakashvili will speak out the details tonight.

On August 27, Georgia's third president issued a special video message announcing that he was returning to Georgia.

Shortly after coming to power, the Georgian Dream initiated a number of cases against the third president of Georgia. Saakashvili left Georgia in 2013, after his presidential term had ended.
