EU Ambassador gets involved in the campaign for gender equality

On September 15, the International Day of  Democracy,  the EU Ambassador to Georgia, Carl Hartzell took part in the campaign “Toloba” [equality] initiated by Mtavari Channel which is aimed at raising awareness on gender issues.

In his video address, Ambassador Hartzell spoke about the importance of gender equality in a democratic society and the need to fight against domestic violence.

Despite the existing challenges, Carl Hartzell is optimistic that the situation will continue to improve. Ambassador  has once again underlined that the EU will continue working to assist in advancing gender rights at all levels.
