Talakvadze demands explanations from Kubilius - Speaker of the Parliament is surprised.

Archil Talakvadze was surprised by the statement of the European Parliament member Andrius Kubilius. According to Talakvadze, the MEP talks about David Gareji in an " unacceptable manner Talakvadze was irritated by Kubilius' phrase, where the MEP wrote - "The controversial events are related to 2007. It is ridiculous."

Talkvadze demands explanations from the European Parliament member.

He said that the topic of Davitgareja, which is interesting for the society today, is ridiculous. Davitgareji is not very amusing for us. Personally, I was surprised by this comment. The person who represents European structures speaks with such attitude about  the issue of national importance which  is unacceptable for us. David Gareji will never and never will be funny ... I hope that Mr. Kubilius will explain his statements," Talakvadze said.

MEP Andrew Kubilius, Member of the European Parliament and Co-Chair of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, commented on the arrest of Iveri Melashvili and Natalia Ilyichova in the case of Davit Gareji on Twitter.
