Accused of assaulting a member of "Lelo" is arrested

Police have detained one person in Kutaisi on charges of violence. A person accused of assaulting a member of "Lelo" has been arrested.
The investigation established that on October 13 of the current year, the accused verbally and physically assaulted a member of one of the political parties on Rustaveli Avenue in Kutaisi.
The injured man received medical assistance. His health condition is satisfactory.
"Investigation is underway under Article 126, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which stipulates beating or other violence that caused physical pain to the victim."
The accused is facing up to one year in prison.
"Lelo" member Paata Kikabidze was attacked in Kutaisi yesterday, October 13.
