Adriana Greenblatt, Canadian expert on gender issues gets involved in the campaign for gender equality

On October 16, Adriana Leigh Greenblatt, Canadian expert and the founder of ALG Consulting took part in the campaign “Toloba” [equality] initiated by Mtavari Channel which is aimed at raising awareness on gender issues.

Through ALG Consulting, Adriana Leigh Greenblatt is working to build more gender equitable and inclusive workplaces and organizations. She provides her expertise in Georgia with organizations like UN Women Georgia, in Canada and around the world. 

In her video address, Adriana Greenblatt spoke about the challenges caused by COVID-19. As a result of lockdowns, domestic violence has increased by upwards of 40% in some countries. Globally, even before the COVID-19 pandemic began, 1 in 3 women-identified people experienced physical or sexual violence mostly by an intimate partner.

Adriana Leigh Greenblatt spoke about importance of safety in the workplace and provided tips for employers to take action for the protection of their employees from domestic violence, in particular when working from home.
