After falsification of elections, the question of legitimization of the parliament may be questioned. Most of the parties that have crossed the threshold of 1% refuse to take seats in the parliament.

The results of the Central Election Commission are not recognized by the main opposition force, the United National Movement. "Lelo for Georgia, Aleko Elisashvili's Citizens party, Strategy Builder and the Labour Party are not going to enter the new parliament. However, what decision will be made, and whether European Georgia and Girchi will give up their mandates, is likely to become known today.

Vakhushti Menabde, director of the Support Program for the Democratic Institute of the Young Lawyers' Association, says that the parliament will not be dissolved if the opposition does not enter the recently convened parliament.

"Legally, now, if the opposition does not enter the parliament, it will not terminate the authority of the parliament, but if it does not enter the parliament, it may have some political consequences. There are mechanisms for legal dispute, - Vakhushti Menabde.

Yesterday, November 1, the opposition held a rally in front of the parliament building. The opposition and its supporters protest against falsification of election results on October 31, stating that they do not acknowledge the data of the CEC and do not intend to enter the legislative body.

According to the final CEC data on parliamentary elections, the first place was taken by the ruling party - "Georgian Dream", the second - "United National Movement", and the third - "European Georgia".

According to the final CEC data, the second round will be held in all districts of Tbilisi and in 8 majoritarian districts of the regions.

We would also like to remind that according to the results of the "Fair Election" parallel vote tabulation, "Georgian Dream" received 45.8% of votes, "National Movement" - 26.4%, "European Georgia" - 3.7%.
