The shortcomings in the election protocols were a pre-staged scenario of the opposition - Kobakhidze

Irakli Kobakhidze, Executive Secretary of the Georgian Dream, explains the inaccuracies in the election results. He says  this is a common practice, especially when special precincts have been added because of the coronavirus.

According to Kobakhidze, the violations were not the same everywhere, but most of them are technical errors. As for Samgori and Marneuli, there, according to Kobakhidze, the violations there were not a caused by a technical defect, but a manipulation.

"More than 95% of them are simple technical mistakes when it comes to balancing. In this regard, I personally held a briefing where I stated what the radical opposition was going to do. They have their own registrars, commission members, one of their tasks was not to let their own activists fix their signature, as soon as one signature fails,  immediately the balance in the list is disturbed. The second simple manipulation is that when your activist enters the booth, he puts one ballot paper in his pocket, and in this case, the balance no longer fits. We have stated this in advance and mainly when it comes to technical inaccuracies there is one inaccuracy and two inaccuracies ... where there is a technical defect and the balance is disturbed, it is all a pre-planned scenario, about which we had information and we provided this information to the society 3 days ago," Irakli Kobakhidze said.

Recall that the representatives of the opposition signed a joint statement yesterday, November 3, stating that they are relinquishing their seats in parliament and calling for new elections.
