The Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia, assesses yesterday's events as a call of the opposition to disobedience and an attempt to storm the CEC.
" We saw yesterday the call of the radical part of the opposition devoid of responsibility to disobedience, the attempt to storm the Central Election Commission and, most importantly, the insult of police and doctors - the people on whom the country stands today. In fact, it was a direct call for the destruction of state institutions. Everyone needs to understand unequivocally, and this is not just a task of the law enforcement system - the state's response must be legitimate and tough," - Gakharia said.
We would like to remind you that at today's briefing Kakha Kaladze thanked the law enforcers, and we heard at the Ministry of Internal Affairs that the use of water cannons was legal.
