There will be dialogue on re-election - the opposition is preparing for a large-scale rally on Saturday

The opposition is preparing for another large-scale rally on Saturday at 3 p.m. Negotiations ended a few minutes ago at Lelo's office. Opponents of the government say they will not change their plans and because of the rigged election, the protest will continue and negotiations with the government will be held only at the request of the people on the streets.

Koba Nakopia, the executive director of the United National Movement, says that the alternative to rigged elections is re-election, and that those involved in rigging should resign.

"We have never refused dialogue, we have requested a meeting with the presence of facilitators. As far as I know, there will be more meetings. We have specific requirements for this dialogue.", – said Koba Nakopia.

Khatuna Samnidze, chairwoman of the Republican Party, said that when the government rigges the elections, it should be ready that the society will  protect their votes by all constitutional means.

Gigi Ugulava, one of the leaders of European Georgia, says that "Dream" is not ready for a dialogue with the opposition.

"Naturally we have communication with our partners, but so far, only talking on TV is about dialogue. But in reality they are not ready for dialogue yet, we are always ready  for  a dialogue.", - said Gigi Ugulava.

According to Nino Burjanadze, chairwoman of United Georgia, the opposition was ready to enter parliament, but the Dream stole the opposition's votes. According to Burjanadze, the dialogue will take place only regarding  the date of the re-election.

Saba Buadze, a member of Lelo Georgia, like other opposition leaders, says the dialogue will focus on re-elections and changes in the election administration.

Here we can inform you that the opposition will hold a big rally when US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo arrives in Georgia. Opposition leaders say Mike Pompeo needs to understand how the oligarch rigged the parliamentary election. That is why the opposition parties were discussing this issue today.

According to Gigi Ugulava, one of the leaders of European Georgia, the opposition will hold a rally in a different format during the visit of the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Recall that Mike Pompeo's visit to Georgia is scheduled for November 17-18. He is arriving in Georgia as part of a pre-planned tour.
