The assessment of the representatives of the opposition regarding the joint letter of the MEPs is almost identical, they assess the letter as another alarming message to the government, which it will have to take into account.
The opposition says MEPs are well aware that the October 31 election was rigged.
"Translated from the diplomatic language, it says that the government failed the test of democracy. Their tone will be tougher in the future.", - says Zaal Udumashvili, one of the leaders of the UN.
"Leading figures in the European Parliament, such as Kubilius, have a perception that the election was illegitimate. "Georgian Dream" must understand what this means," - said Giorgi Kandelaki.
MEPs Andrius Kubilius, Rasa Juknevichiench and Sigismund Pavilionis issued a joint statement on the developments in Georgia after the parliamentary elections and wrote that the ruling party must be able to start a dialogue.
"We believe that the Georgian government will use legal remedies in the democratic process that Georgia has built over the past decades to assess complaints and evidence of election irregularities and to engage in an inclusive dialogue with the opposition and the people who are protesting in the streets." - said MEPs
