Government introduces restrictions  throughout Georgia

According to the decision of the Interagency Coordination Council, starting from November 28, the restriction on movement will continue throughout Georgia and the time will be extended by 1 hour.

In particular, from November 28 to January 31, the movement of persons throughout the country, from 21:00 to 05:00, both on foot and by vehicle, as well as in public space is prohibited.

The exceptions will be New Year's Eve - December 31 and Christmas Eve - January 6.

New restrictions will take effect in the country from November  28:

  • Restaurants and other food facilities  will switch to delivery service;
  • Municipal and intercity transport work will resume on January 16;
  • Ski slopes and ski lifts in winter resorts will stop working.

Alongside with the restrictions, the government has announced a plan to provide social assistance.
