At a special briefing, Irakli Kobakhidze, executive secretary of the Georgian Dream, said that the radical opposition's decision not to enter parliament was the basis for starting talks with the opposition, but later added that "it seemed to be a mistake." He cited the opposition's allegations of election fraud and failure to enter parliament as the basis for this conclusion.

In addition, Irakli Kobakhidze mentioned the "Mtavari Channel" and its General Director Nika Gvaramia.
They remain arrogant and question the fairness of the elections recognized by international partners. The fact is that the radical opposition ignores  the assessments of authoritarian international organizations and the only objective evaluators of the elections are the "Mtavari Channel" and Nika Gvaramia, who, even in the conditions of the pandemic, systematically propagandize through political looting, sowing political nihilism in society.

According to Irakli Kobakhidze, the talks with the radical opposition were not stopped and they had several offers that the opposition categorically rejected.

According to Irakli Kobakhidze, the parliamentary majority will initiate the creation of an temporary commission to investigate the parliamentary elections of 2020 as soon as it convenes in the 10th convocation parliament.

"We will invite all interested parties, including independent experts, non-governmental organizations and international partners, to participate in the commission's work. Naturally, parliamentary parties will be involved in the work of this commission. The commission will ensure full evaluation of the elections," Irakli Kobakhidze said.

According to Kobakhidze, the commission will also conduct a large-scale recount of polling stations and  in case of  even1 percent deviation "in favor of the Dream," special elections will be announced. He claims that as the head of the electoral headquarters of "Georgian Dream" in this case he will resign and give up political activity.

The party has also decided to terminate the deputy mandates of all deputies who make the corresponding statements. According to him, those parties, which are not in parliament, will not receive funding.
Irakli Kobakhidze said at today's briefing that Mikhail Saakashvili does not meet the electoral requirements, and therefore a bill on the abolition of the UNM  registration in the elections will be introduced in parliament.
