All such facts are against the interests of Georgia -MEP on the case of Melia

MEP Rasa Juknevičienė responds to the case of Nika Melia, saying that it is especially bad when MEPs hear stories connected with Kremlin from Georgia. According to him, negotiations on Georgia and Ukraine will start in the European Union, which may break through Georgia's Euro-Atlantic integration.

"All the friends of Georgia in the European Parliament are always very concerned when such news comes. It is especially bad when we hear things related to the Kremlin's influence and Gavrilov's story is also related to the Kremlin. I ask all parties of the Georgian political spectrum, I emphasize this, all parties to understand the importance of the situation. There is a new administration in America and we will start new negotiations in the European Union. A new situation could be created for Georgia and Ukraine, so there could be a serious breakthrough in Georgia's Euro-Atlantic integration. Therefore, all such news is against the interests of Georgia," - Rasa Juknevičienė said.

Recall that at the joint sitting of the Committees on Procedural and Legal Affairs, where the Prosecutor General Amiran Guluashvili introduced the motion and arguments of the Prosecutor General to the members of the Committee, the majority representatives unanimously supported the demand of the Investigation Agency to lift immunity to Nika Melia.
