Giorgi Gabunia's case - the court found "Vasambek Bokov" guilty

The statement is issued by the General Prosecutor's Office of Georgia. According to the Investigative Agency, "Vasambek Bokov" was found guilty of illegally crossing the state border of Georgia, using fake documents, pursuing and illegally obtaining personal information, based on the evidence submitted by the Prosecutor's Office.

"Vasambek Bokov" was sentenced to 4 years in prison.

The Tbilisi City Court fully shared the evidence presented by the prosecution and found MG guilty of illegally crossing the state border of Georgia, using forged documents, pursuing and illegally obtaining personal information by using a forged passport.
Evidence examined at the trial confirmed that M.G, a citizen of the Russian Federation, had illegally crossed the Georgian state border between October 2, 2016 and March 11, 2020 using  a forged passport issued in V.B's name.and used forged documents while being in Georgia.
It was also found that between February 11, 2020, and June 13, 2020, M.G. systematically illegally followed and collected personal information about the Mtavari Channel journalist G.G.
In the mentioned criminal case, G.G. was recognized as a victim.
Tbilisi city court found M.G. guilty of paragraph one of Article 362 (9 episodes), paragraph one of Article 344 (7 episodes), paragraph one of Article 151 and paragraph one of Article 157 and sentenced him to 4 years in prison, "- is said in a report of the prosecutor's office.
