The chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Lithuanian Parliament, Jigimantas Pavilionis, says that if the authorities arrest Nika Melia, there will be a response.
"If the opposition leader is arrested, there will be a reaction. I do not want to talk about it yet, because I hope it will not happen. ... They will never be able to present as normal the arrest of an opposition leader in the West. They can do it in Belarus, in Russia, but I don't want Georgia to take the way of Belarus and Russia. You will lose the leadership, the charisma that shines in the West," Pavilionis said.
