Former US Secretary of Defense Ben Hodges, speaking on the " Guest of the Day" program about the recent events, stated that, on the one hand, the role of foreign partners is important now, and on the other hand, the Georgian political reality is disturbing.

"I hope that the leaders of the West, especially the United States, speak loudly about how concerned they are about such a giant step back by their Georgian friends. It is the responsibility of the government to protect the people and I did not think the opposition party office would be attacked like this.I watched and could not believe my eyes. "So I hope the president of the United States and other friends of Georgia will speak out, and the secretary of state, Blinken, and others will speak their mind."

Hodges says events are part of the Russian model and action to counteract it is urgently needed.
