According to the Prime Minister, Irakli Gharibashvili, the ruling team will not discuss the issue of early elections. As Gharibashvili says, early elections have no legitimate basis.

"Our principled position on early elections is unchanged, this is a red line, an issue that is not being discussed, and I noted at this meeting that there is no legitimate basis for demanding early elections in the country.

"I personally and our team act and will act only in the interests of the country and the people, not in the personal whims or interests of any particular party," Gharibashvili said.

Let us remind you that the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, visited Georgia on February 28. On March 1, he held meetings with the President, the Prime Minister, the Speaker of Parliament and the opposition. Later, at the initiative of Charles Michel, the government and the opposition met in the  Orbeliani palace.
