Journalists injured during confrontation in Martvili diocese

Journalists from Mtavari Channel, TV Pirveli, Rustavi 2 and Formula were injured during a confrontation in Martvil diocese. a TV Pirveli cameraman had to be taken to the hospital.
They fell from the second floor of the house when the balcony railing collapsed during the confrontation.

The incident took place while Reverend Stephane was meeting with the clergy. A group of parishioners had gathered at the site, unhappy with the new ruler's decision to suspend the priests' right to serve for two deacons.
Reverend Stephane's decision is being protested by some clergy as well. According to them, Reverend Stephane is carrying out the orders of the Patriarchate, because all the persons who have been suspended are supporters of Reverend Petre.
