Court finds all 5 defendants in Giorgi Shakarashvili murder case guilty

Three defendants were sentenced to 16 years in prison for the premeditated murder of Giorgi Shakarashvili.

The verdict has been announced by Judge Bidzina Sturua recently.

Archil Gagnidze, Nikoloz Revazishvili and Vakhtang Chikovani were sentenced to 16 years in prison.

As for the 2 juveniles - Z.Kh. and A.K., the court found them guilty as well. Their sentence will be announced on March 16.

Giorgi Shakarashvili's mother and family members were present at the announcement of the verdict. As well as family members of those accused.

Recall that the consideration of the case on the merits ended on March 2. The judge left for  deliberation but the verdict was not announced. At the hearing on March 2, the parties exercised their right to reply.
