"Georgian Dream" is becoming destructive .. If there is no agreement today, "Dream" is to be blamed - Giorgi Vashadze

"If there is no agreement in the country today and the mediator leaves the country, the Georgian Dream is to be blamed" said Giorgi Vashadze, leader of Strategy Builder, after a bilateral meeting between the opposition and the ruling team mediated by Christian Danielson at the EU Embassy.

"I am very sorry that as a result of so many hours of work, we have not been able to show high culture to the Georgian society, nor the European standard, and I want to openly state that the "Georgian Dream" is to be blamed for all this that does not understand what it is to resolve a political crisis. The West has once again seen who it is dealing with. We, the opposition parties, discussed all issues logically, but the Georgian Dream does not adequately perceive the critical situation in the country. Today, the day and the process, which ended in fact in vain, show that we are not dealing with a state approach, we are dealing with the narrow-minded interests of the "Georgian Dream". Therefore, if there is no agreement in the country today and the mediator leaves the country, the Georgian Dream is to be blamed. "Georgian Dream is becoming destructive," said Giorgi Vashadze.

Christian Danielson arrived in Georgia on March 12 and his visit was scheduled to end on March 14, but the visit was extended after unsuccessful talks, and he said he would not leave the country until an agreement was reached between the opposition and the government. During the visit, he has repeatedly met with representatives of both the government and the opposition. The decision to send Danielson to Georgia was made by Charles Michel on March 8.
