The well-known case, in which Ivane Gulashvili, a former employee of State Security Service, was directly involved, is connected with one of the founders of the "Mtavari  Channel", a political prisoner Giorgi Rurua.

According to Gulashvili, surveillance over this or that politician or protester during the protest rallies is the main activity of the State Security Service. He also stated that this agency had been serving the political interests of the ruling party, not the state, for a long time.

To tell you the truth, I did not know Rurua on the face .. I did not even know the appearance of this person and I remembered that in the summer we were watching such a person with cameras, at the Parliament, what he was doing and where he was going.
