Nika Gvaramia's trial will continue in court today

The trial of Nika Gvaramia, General Director of Mtavari Channel, will continue today in Tbilisi City Court. The written evidence presented by the prosecution will be examined at the hearing. According to Nika Gvaramia's lawyer Dimitri Sadzaglishvili, the case is politically motivated and the innocence of the General Director of the Main Channel has been proven at all trials.

"The next court hearing in the case of Nika Gvaramia will be held. The prosecution will continue to examine the evidence. As far as we know, the prosecution will not have a witness at this hearing. We will examine the written evidence at this court hearing. We are deeply convinced that both the testimonies of the witnesses and the written evidence in the case clearly prove that this is a politically motivated accusation against Nika Gvaramia. Not only did no crime take place, but there can be no talk of civil liability either. "Rustavi 2 was the most rated and high-income television station during Nika Gvaramia's tenure as director," said lawyer Dimitri Sadzaglishvili.

The Prosecutor General's Office accuses the General Director of the Mtavari Channel of abusing his authority against the legitimate interests of the broadcaster and using a large amount of his money in his official position while still a director of Rustavi 2.
