Food-deprived population in occupied Abkhazia - rally near the occupation line

Published:

The civil organization "Make a Change " held a rally near the Pakhulani-Saberio occupation line. Activists say that the population living in occupied Abkhazia is completely isolated, the Russian occupiers have closed all their access roads. The protesters also blame the Georgian government.

According to the residents outside the occupation line, the Georgian side has closed the so-called border due to the pandemic. According to them, a large part of the population of Gali, Ochamchire and Sokhumi brought food products from Zugdidi shops, but now the Georgian side does not allow them to cross  the border to buy products.

The population demands flour and medicines. Students who attended public school in the village of Tskoushi, Samegrelo, are left without education.

The "Make a Change " movement calls on international organizations, the United Nations and the European Union to force the Georgian government to provide humanitarian aid  on the occupied territories and open the way.
