The only party that is not satisfied with the 3 percent threshold is the National Movement - Subari

According to Georgian Dream MP Sozar Subari, the National Movement is the only one that does not want to lower the electoral threshold to 3 percent. According to him, if the Georgian Dream had not made changes, there would have been only two parties in the Parliament today. So far, however, there are only two parties in the Parliament besides the Dream.

"Parliament is the place where political debates should take place. Whether 3% is more correct, 5%, 15% or a natural thresholdd, can not be discussed anywhere other than the Parliament. [...] The only party that does not want a 3% threshold is the National Movement, ” - said Sozar Subari.

Let us remind you that "Georgian Dream" has initiated a bill in the Parliament, according to which in 2024 the election threshold will be decreased from 5% to 3%. The second amendment will reduce the number of members required to form a faction in the 2020 and 2024 convened parliaments from 7 to 4. This memorandum was signed by "Georgian Dream" and "Citizens".
