"Shame movement" activists to sue Kobakhidze in court for defamation

Published:

Members of the "Shame movement" accuse the chairman of the "Georgian Dream" Irakli Kobakhidze of slander and are suing Kobakhidze in court. According to them, Kobakhidze will have to prove why he called Russian agents some members of the movement and Elene Khoshtaria.

According to civil activists, they have no hope for the Georgian court, but they will still apply to it.

"It is not worth entering into argument with Irakli Kobakhidze at all. It goes beyond all limits of rationality. Now he has just made up that Shota Digmelashvili, Elene Khoshtaria, and I are Russian agents. We are not going to talk to him, we will definitely sue him. He will have to justify himself in court and bring some evidence, but I do not know what to expect from Murusidze's court," said Giga Makarashvili.

For reference, while assessing the visit of Russian propagandist Vladimir Posner to Georgia yesterday and  the subsequent developments, Irakli Kobakhidze said that the civil activists are Russian agents.
