Wounded member of the City Council, Giorgi Mgebrishvili, is undergoing emergency surgery. He has a cut wound in the thigh inflicted with a cold weapon.
As Mgebrishvili’s family members and eyewitnesses say, he was wounded on the political ground after arguing with a Georgian Dreams activist. According to them, the alleged perpetrator was aggressive, and the reason for arguing started because of candidacy for the position of the Chairman of the block of apartments. Law enforcement officials have not released details to the media. Investigative measures have been completed at the scene; criminal experts have been working there.
According to the doctor, Giorgi Mgebrishvili’s life is not in danger.
