I hope that they will address getting Ukraine into the NATO membership Action Plan – Ben Hodges

Former US Ground Forces Commander in Europe, Ben Hodges, responds to the meeting between NATO Secretary General and US Secretary of Defense on Twitter and hopes that the parties will discuss the issue of granting a NATO Membership Action Plan to Ukraine. 

“I hope that they will address getting Ukraine into the NATO Membership Action Plan and look at steps where to welcome Ukraine’s desire to move towards NATO. Maybe work on military mobility between NATO and UKR is a start.” writes Ben Hodges on Twitter.

The situation in eastern Ukraine has escalated since Russia began mobilizing forces along the border, and separatists in the Donbass began violating the ceasefire agreement.
