Minister of Health and Head of Disease Control Center must resign – Chikhladze

One of the leaders of “Strategy Aghmashenebeli” assesses the current epidemic in the country and says that the government needs to take decisive steps.

According to Sergo Chikhladze, the issue of official responsibility of the Minister of Health and the Head of the Center for Disease Control should be raised in connection with the current situation.

"The pandemic management plan and algorithm for 2021 has not been presented. The process of introducing unapproved Chinese vaccines into the country is highly questionable, especially since the producing country itself has claimed their low effectiveness compared to other approved vaccines.

    Therefore, “Strategy Aghmashenebeli” demands:

1.    1. Disclose details of all vaccine negotiations and contracts.
2.    What were the results of the Deputy Foreign Minister's visit to India and where are the promised 180,000 doses that were to be delivered by May?
3.    . Name the persons responsible for the vaccination process.
4.    Urgently develop an emergency plan for pandemic management in 2021
5.    Update the existing vaccination plan, which is not up to date with current realities.
6.    Launch a full-scale vaccination outreach campaign
7.    If there is no response to these questions/requests, the Minister of Health, the Head of the Center for Disease Control and all those in charge of the vaccination and pandemic process should resign! " said Sergo Chikhladze.

Chinese officials say their vaccine does not have a high efficacy rate. According to Ma Gao Fu, since these drugs do not have a very high level of protection, modifications of vaccines are considered to enhance the effect.
