For a year now, the Secret Service has been without a Head. An appropriate candidate for the post should have been chosen by the Prime Minister, but the head of the government is in no hurry. The acting Head of Intelligence is Shalva Lomidze, who did not show up at the Defense and Security Committee today, and instead the report was presented to MPs by the Directors of the Analytical Department.

Why an official administrator was not appointed to one of the priority services of the country, what is the position of the representatives of the intelligence department and the MPs - the official reasons are unknown, but according to unofficial versions no candidate has been chosen. Some MPs claim that they have no authority to select a person for the position.

When asked why the intelligence has not had a head for a year, Dream MPs responded that they "do not speak publicly about the activities of the intelligence services with the Mtavari Channel."
