No one is going to trade political captives with Ivanishvili – UNM’s special statement

According to Zaal Udumashvili, one of the leaders of the "United National Movement", the government wants to use political prisoners Nika Melia and Giorgi Rurua to trade with the opposition and Western partners. 

"No one is going to trade political captives with Ivanishvili. Nika Melia, as well as Giorgi Rurua should be released unconditionally from prison. This is the only solution today. They must sit down and make a political decision to release Nika Melia. One of the main preconditions for overcoming the worst crisis today is the release of political prisoners." said Zaal Udumashvili. 

According to him, whether the government wants to take this step or not, they will have to do it in the end. 

Recall that yesterday, April 13, the court left Nika Melia in custody. Judge Nino Chakhnashvili expelled him from the session once again.
