"Personal rating alone is not decisive in politics" - Talakvadze

Both in the elections and in the new public opinion polls, the Georgian Dream still has the highest support among the parties. This is a team result - writes Archil Talakvadze, who spreads the statement on Facebook.

The Speaker of the Parliament writes that personal rating alone is not decisive in politics and there are many examples of this:

"European Democracy is a competition between the parties and it is a fact that the Georgian Dream still has the highest support among the parties in the elections and in the new public opinion polls. It's a team result. In addition, those who work and do what they really believe can "spend" a rating on it - this is clockwork. Consequently, personal rating alone is not crucial in politics. We have many examples when "high-ranking" politicians do not get great results in elections and can not ensure progress, and vice versa. Victory depends primarily on the loyalty of the idea, your country and team, credibility and allies.
The main thing is who has what to do for the country, what reforms, what big projects, or what you wanted to do with all your heart and could not do. Ultimately, this is how we gain value in the eyes of our society and nation. Let’s look ahead and talk to our people about the future. Whoever sees the future, can make calm and successful decisions."
"I hope that all progressive political forces will show the ability to see the future of our country and together with our Western friends, to lead Georgia correctly on the path that will be successful despite the difficult geopolitical context and pandemic,"  Archil Talakvadze wrote.
