"I was denied vital tests" - the prosecutor's office did not allow Nika Gvaramia to leave for Austria for treatment.

Prosecutors are not allowing Nika Gvaramia, founder and CEO of the Mtavari Channel, to undergo medical procedures in Austria. He posted about it on Facebook:

As you know, a shameful political criminal case against me is ongoing, and for a completely unknown reason, I need the prosecutor's consent to leave the country (this additional sanction is a separate evidence that the case is political in nature).

I urgently needed to go to Austria because of a sharp deterioration in my health. For several months I tried to solve my health problems, but unfortunately, in vain. This is why I needed the intervention of foreign doctors.
With the help of my friends, in spite of the restrictions caused by Covid, I managed to contact Austrian doctors, who prescribed me the necessary tests, which, unfortunately, are not carried out here and are absolutely necessary to accurately diagnose and treat my condition.

As a result of my communication with the Austrian doctors they considered that I needed their "medical help as an absolute necessity" (quote from their letter) and that specific examinations and medical procedures were vital for me.
Because of this need, the Austrian state granted me a special and exceptional permission to enter the country.
I submitted the documents sent by the Austrians to the Public Prosecutor's Office and asked them for permission to leave the country for a week.  This does not interfere with the legal proceedings and obviously I am not going to run anywhere.
From the prosecutor's office I was denied vital diagnostic tests. Justification - None: Danger of hiding.

Medical care as an absolute necessity doesn't work. What then? Death? Is death is an absolute necessity? - Nika Gvaramia writes.
