"This is a chance to answer, "Dream"-" Shame Movement "calls on parties to sign document.

The "Shame" movement is calling on the authorities and the opposition to sign the Charles Michel document. We offer their statement unchanged:

"The Georgian Dream is responsible for overcoming the political and economic crisis in Georgia, but the unfortunate irresponsibility of Georgia's ruling party does not exempt the opposition from its responsibility to turn the situation around.

It is necessary to get out of the impasse in which the country has been in for a long time or at best is stuck in one place, and basically is backsliding back. It is important for society to accept the mechanisms of separation of powers in exchange for the sacrifices made in the process, which will insure the country against similar tyranny of the authorities in the future.

The agreement proposed by Georgia's democracy advocates, the U.S., and the European Union is currently the best way out of the crisis. The updated document outlines the conditions and means of implementation. In such a situation, the government does not have the opportunity to stage another "trick" and the blame others in it. If the government does not fulfill any of its obligations, questions about the continuation of the boycott and its legitimacy will no longer exist at home or outside.

This document is a chance to hold  the Georgian Dream responsible for considering as a "compromise" the independent prosecutor's office and the judiciary, free elections and other important values of a democratic country. The opposition, on the other hand, is obliged to fight for early elections, convincingly winning local government elections and proving that the distribution of power is as important to it as power.

As for "Gavrilov’s Night": The principled position of our movement is that amnesty should in no way be extended to crimes committed by officials using public office. All those who used force to disperse and mutilate the demonstrators and those who ordered it should be punished. The agreement does not provide for specific articles of the amnesty, so this part should be determined by the parliament, in which process the opposition should be uncompromising.

Given that making small compromises is a guarantee of a better future, “Shame Movement” calls on the government and opposition parties to sign the agreement,” is said in the statement.
