The parties must decide for themselves, my function is to tell the truth - Mikheil Saakashvili on the agreement

Georgia's third president, Mikheil Saakashvili, says the current election system will not be able to count the votes correctly, so it is necessary to use the involvement of partners in this direction and set an appropriate example.

Mikheil Saakashvili says that the parties themselves must decide whether to sign the agreement or not.

"I think the parties should decide for themselves. My function is to tell you only what it is, I will not deceive you, the bitter truth must be said. We want a solution, we want to overcome the crisis, the crisis is serious, but there are some elementary rules of the game adopted in the civilized world, reversing these rules will only lead to worse results." said Mikheil Saakashvili.

He said that it should be determined how the election commission, the prosecutor's office and the court can be staffed, and the political persecution should be stopped.

Speaking to the "Guest of the day" program on the "Mtavari Channel", the third president said that the current head of the CEC, Tamar Zhvania, and other high-ranking officials of the system could not be trusted.

Recall that on April 18, the final version of the agreement document of the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, became known.

Part of the opposition said it was ready to sign the document, while part of the parties demanded time for consideration.
