The “Make a Change” movement has issued a statement regarding the current political situation. Civic activists believe that the only way out of the political crisis is a fair snap election or an agreement that specifies the date of such elections or the actual method of reaching them."
“Moreover, the record in the document presented by the mediator, according to which a broad amnesty should be introduced in connection with the events of June 19-21, concerning all the violations and arrests connected with the bloody events of "Gavrilov's Night", is categorically unacceptable for us. Equating peaceful protesters with those who were shooting in the eyes of peaceful demonstrators and with giving these orders means first criminalizing the anti-occupation protesters, and then pardoning them. It is also noteworthy that since the night of June 20, activists have been the object of constant persecution and repression by the Georgian Dream. We are being detained illegally, fined, our bank accounts confiscated, criminal cases have been launched against us and many more activists are in expectation of the same - all this is only because the government wants to suppress the protest with similar mechanisms. In this situation, according to the document presented by Mr. Michel, justice reform does not concern the existing clan in the court, which is one of the key tools of the ongoing political persecution against us. – reads the statement.
