The trial of Nika Melia, the chairman of the United National Movement, has already ended. After the hearing, the lawyers said that at today's trial  they had presented specific facts when the leaders of the "Georgian Dream" violated the presumption of innocence against Nika Melia. The court did not consider the lawyer’s motion.

"We filed a motion asking the  court to respond to these facts. We cited several examples in the courtroom to illustrate them, including the statements of Irakli Kobakhidze, who referred to Melia as a criminal and spoke as if he had committed a crime. Unfortunately, in response to this, we received the answer that the motion was unsubstantiated and should not have been satisfied," said Dimitri Sadzaglishvili” said Dimitri Sadzaglishvili.

At today's hearing, Nika Melia's lawyers gave a short introductory speech, as Giorgi Kondakhishvili explains, they "did not consider it necessary to talk further at  this mock trial."
Prosecutor Amiran Guliashvili says that the motions are not in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code

.
"Such a motion does not comply with the Criminal Procedure Code, so the motion was rejected. What the lawyers were saying goes beyond the scope of the criminal case," said Amiran Guluashvili.

Prosecution witnesses are scheduled to be questioned at the next hearing.
