According to Khatia Dekanoidze, a member of the United National Movement, the government's failure to comment on the ongoing processes in Dmanisi yesterday encouraged violence:

"Yesterday, after the live broadcast, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the government did not express any position. This is a very serious, disturbing fact, which is directly planning gang violence, retaliation against people, intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, which means that the identified groups should be brought to justice immediately" said Khatia Dekanoidze.
