The EU ambassador to Georgia, Carl Hartzell states that it is imperative to combat hate speech within the nation. Also, according to him, the EU and other diplomatic representatives will always protect the rights of the LGBT community.
He talked about these topics in the hotel “rooms” meeting


“it is imperative to end hate speech in the nation, the rights of man must be protected by Georgian constitution and law. The harassment of the LGBT community is too frequent, which also sometimes brings us to even worse results. It is a great challenge in the terms of society as well, when the culture and traditions have so much power within the public. It is important for the media and polititians to help with the matter
The EU and other diplomatic representative will always stand beside the LGBT community and will always protect them.” – said Carl Hartzell
