I hope the parties will reach a compromise - Hartzell on electoral reform

The meeting between the parliamentary opposition and the ruling team on the amendments to the Electoral Code is underway at the moment. As EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell said before the meeting, he hopes that the parties will reach a compromise.

I am not in a position to discuss the processes, as negotiations between the parties on electoral reform are still ongoing, I believe the meetings will continue today. I hope the decision-makers will reach a compromise and it will be acceptable to everyone. Because this is a vital part of the April 19 agreement," said Carl Hartzell.

The opposition and the ruling team have been holding meetings for several days now and are discussing changes to the election code.
