Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda says he sees Georgia as a member of the NATO family. He made this statement today after meeting with President Salome Zurabishvili and reaffirmed his support for our territorial integrity and sovereignty.
"Looking at Georgia, I remember Lithuania, which was also vigorously pursuing membership in the European Union and NATO. Our path was not easy either and lasted relatively less, but we always knew what our strategic goal was and there was no doubt in our society. We also see such diligence in the Georgian people. [...]
“Lithuania strongly adheres to the Bucharest agreement and sees Georgia as an inevitable member of the NATO family,” Gitana Nausėda said.
