According to the United National Movement, Giga Zesashvili has been appointed Chief of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police. The party says that Zesashvili was particularly aggressive during all the elections, and that he took part in the dispersal of the June 20 rally. According to them, Zesashvili is a person close to Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili.
According to the National Movement, such personnel changes prove that the ruling team is preparing for the self-government elections and will use law enforcement agencies for its own interests.
