The High Council of Justice has endorsed the candidacy of all nine judges for life in the Supreme Court. The council elected the candidates by majority vote. This list must now be sent to the Parliament for approval.

Nazi Janezashvili, a non-judicial member of the council, is not participating in the voting as a sign of protest.

Today, June 17, the High Council of Justice will decide on more than 100 vacancies for judges. The council must decide on 9 candidates for the Supreme Court, appoint 88 of them to the lower instance and transfer 8 of them to the lower instance.

It is expected that the son of Levan Gzirishvili, a non-judicial member of the Council of Justice, will also receive the status of a judge today.
